Cool Treats for the Hot, Hot Heat

It's Summer! And it's hot! To beat the heat, we eat cool treats! Some of our favorites are Frosty Paws and Pumpkin Popsicles.

Frosty Paws:

32 oz plain, non fat yogurt (we used Greek)
1 banana
2 tbs honey
2 tbs peanut butter

Blend together and pour into ice cube tray or ramekins and FREEZE. * Use ramekins to avoid a messy floor, ice cubes are good for the outdoors!

Pumpkin Popsicles

1 can pumpkin puree ( make sure it's not pumpkin pie mix/filling)
water
honey (this is optional)

Mix together and FREEZE.

The pumpkin really helps with digestion- perfect for after surgeries or an upset stomach!

Enjoy!

  1. Oreo had a pumpkin popsicle yesterday! I love your idea for the yoghurt ones. I freeze yoghurt in their kongs, but I think I'll add some banana, honey and PB next time!
